“When was the last time you did something for the first time?” That quote is really from a television commerical in the Middle East for Emirates Airlines, but I like it because I feel like I’m doing something for the first time every week!
I’ve been teaching overseas in international schools since 2001. When I decided to leave family and home to teach abroad, I didn’t know how long I would be away – now I don’t know when I will ever return.
My teaching assignments have included fashionable Milan, Italy; exotic Aleppo, Syria and laid-back Kingston, Jamaica. I am now in historic Cairo, Egypt.
